Personal Injury or Auto Accident?

Have you been in a recent car accident? We are here to help!

When you are injured in a car accident, you may or may not feel injured immediately after the impact. Many symptoms of whiplash don’t become major issues until days, weeks, or even months after an accident. Even a collision at 5mph can cause damage to the spine. Call our Littleton office at 303-904-0331 or Lone Tree Office at 303-952-9309 and we will take care of you and help guide you through the process. We work with all auto insurances and with personal injury attorneys. In most cases, even if you are at fault for the accident, your auto insurance policy will cover chiropractic treatment for you after the auto accident.

Whiplash is when the head suddenly flexes forward and then snaps backwards into extension. This sudden motion can cause immediate symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, muscle soreness, numbness, tingling, and sharp pains. Whiplash can also cause permanent ligament damage in the neck if not treated within a few days of the impact. It’s not just your neck that can be affected by a car accident. The mid-back and low-back can also experience symptoms from the impact.

If you have been in a car accident, come talk to us. We can provide a full evaluation to determine the level of damage and recommend care to get you back to doing all the activities you love without pain or discomfort from the accident.

What to do if you are in an accident:

If you or anyone involved in the collision needs immediate medical attention, call 911 and request medical attention.

Take photos of the collision site including the intersection, noting the driving conditions, the places of impact, and the resulting positioning of the cars after impact. Once this has been documented, try to move vehicles to the side of the road if possible.

Once you are safety on the side of the road, get all information from all the drivers involved. This includes photos of driver licenses, insurance cards,  license plate numbers and phone numbers of all drivers. Also, get as many names and phone numbers of witnesses to the accident or record video testimony of the accident from witnesses if possible.

Make your own notes about the events in the accident while it is still fresh in your mind, include as many details as you can.

If you did not already call 911, dial the police to get a police report of the accident.

Call your auto insurance company to notify them of the collision. Provide them with the information that you have gathered so far including the other driver’s information.

Call Ultimate Health Chiropractic for a same-day appointment for a consultation and examination.

If you wait for symptoms to start before coming in for care, it can be more difficult to restore your body to optimal health. It is critical that you come in after an accident so we can be proactive about checking for any damage to your body that could go undetected for weeks without a proper evaluation.

In emergency room situations, seemingly small injuries can go undetected and although you may be prescribed a painkiller or a muscle relaxer, these prescriptions will not restore proper function to your spine and body. If the injuries are left untreated the seemingly minor injuries can turn into permanent degeneration of your body, and result in excruciating pain down the road.
